Frictional Games’ upcoming ONTOS appears to focus on existential horror and abstract storytelling which gives out a rather unique vibe. The environments seem surreal and dreamlike, blending reality with distorted spaces – making the horror feel something almost incomprehensible. Puzzle-solving and exploration take center stage, daring you to make some sense out of the bizarre. If executed well, ONTOS could become a deeply unsettling, cerebral horror experience.
