12. Pioneer LaserActive

Yet another early 90s console attempting to use Laser Discs and offer multimedia playback, the LaserActive pioneered in its modular based system that allowed customers to run Sega Genesis and TurboGrafx-16 provided the user purchased additional modules. The main problem was the price, with the Genesis attachment and base unit costing nearly $1600 as opposed to the $100 price tag on an actual Genesis. Who has that much cash to throw away like that on a trumped up Laser Disc player?
