23. Virtual Boy

The most widely known failure within the industry, Nintendo could only really go down after the huge success of the original GameBoy. Taking advantage of the obsession with virtual reality that seemed so present in the early 90s, Nintendo's GameBoy follow up was a headset that projected games in a form of 3D. A large price tag, no portability and a poor games library were just the tip of the iceberg for the Virtual Boy, as the red colour of all graphics and migraine inducing screens made it hugely unpopular with consumers.
