While many are likely reeling from the sudden reveal of Grand Theft Auto 6’s launch trailer, short and sweet but still packed with new details, the music arguably stood out the most. “Flower in a Hurricane” is an original single by Justice featuring vocals from Tame Impala, SZA and King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard.
It’s impressive on its own, but the electronic duo has actually composed the game’s original score. Rockstar Games confirmed this in a NewsWire article, and the new single features on the official album.
The latter claims to capture “the electric energy of Grand Theft Auto 6’s world of Vice City and Leonida,” and based on the line-up, we’re inclined to agree. It contains 34 original tracks from Travis Scott, Morgan Wallen, Keith Richards, Yung Lean, Cardi B, and more. Justice’s contributions to each may vary. For example, “RHYNO” by Scott is produced by Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo, one half of another legendary electronic duo, Daft Punk.
With Grand Theft Auto 6 launching on November 19th for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, we’re eagerly waiting to dive into the game’s musical slate, including its six radio stations. Head here for more and check out some of the singers who host them. There’s plenty of reason to dance in-game, which is also a good time to mention that Rockstar created an entire system to depict sweat.
