An in-depth look at the new Killzone game.

Yesterday, RajmanGamingHD posted a 27 minute walkthrough of the upcoming PlayStation Vita exclusive release, Killzone: Mercenary, which goes through the game’s opening mission.

Killzone: Mercenary will be the second installment of the now five title series to be released for the handhold console, with the first being Killzone: Liberation, released for the PlayStation Portable in 2006.

Killzone: Mercenary will feature the same signature Killzone FPS game play is its four predecessors, however, for the first time in the Killzone series campaign mode, players will ally with both Heighhast forces and ISA specialists to carry out missions outside the parameters of a regular soldier’s duties. The game engine utilized by mercenary is a slightly modified version of that of Killzone 3.

According to announcements made at gamescom 2012, in Killzone: Mercenary we can expect the biggest weapons loadout of any Killzone title yet. Some light tweaking has given the weapons a more powerful feel, and due to the large loadout, there will be more flexibility in play style.

Killzone: Mercenary releases for the PlayStation Vita on September 10th, 2013.
