If Quake 2: Enhanced Edition is the best way to experience the classic, then DOOM 1 + DOOM 2 is that, but for the first two titles in id Software’s illustrious franchise. It adds mod support, an in-game browser, split-screen multiplayer, online multiplayer with crossplay, and 25 new Deathmatch maps. That’s in addition to the Master Levels, Final Doom, No Rest for the Living, Sigil, and a great new campaign, Legacy of Rust, by MachineGames. Overall, the sheer value is hard to deny.
