343 Industries to take over the torch from Bungie on March 31st

Posted By | On 01st, Feb. 2012

Bungie is making games for Activision now, and we do not know what they are up to nowadays. We also know that they created the monstrous franchise, Halo. And since, Bungie has left Microsoft, 343 Industries will be creating the future Halo games.

On March 31st, this becomes official. The stats page will still be offline, but all assets and everything related to Halo will be handed over to 343.

“Bungie will no longer be able to update game stats and player service records, to host new user generated content, or to operate the Bungie Pro service.

“All currently supported, Bungie-developed Halo titles will be impacted by this change,” read the statement posted by Bungie.

“Any replacement functionality, and all future Halo support, will be provided by Microsoft and 343 Industries via Halo Waypoint at http://halo.xbox.com.”

“Thanks for making the Halo-era version of Bungie.net more successful than we could have possibly imagined. You complete us.”
