3DS LL is on fire and it has sold almost 200,000 units in just 2 days after its official launch in Japan. Nintendo released these figures today, and were very pleased with the outcome.

Another good news is for the software: New Super Mario Bros. 2 launched with a massive 430k unit sales, and is pretty much a system seller. Nintendo has sold 6 million 3DS units in Japan so far, and it’s something that really took off after the price cut.

The handheld has sold 19 million units so far according to Nintendo’s financial report which was revealed few days ago.

“Enterbrain has announced the 3DS LL breaking sales of portable game consoles which was released on July 28, 2012 from Nintendo. First week of the estimated domestic sales of 193,441 units Nintendo 3DS LL,” reads the translated page of Famitsu.
