Mortal Kombat 9
Everyone knows how brutal Mortal Kombat is. But the Mortal Kombat 9 trailer set the bar of just how brutal a video game can get. It showcases some bone crunching combat, and some disgusting albeit awesome fatalities in which Shao Khan rips Raiden in half. Many troublemakers of course took notice and so caused an outcry about violence in video games, but it slowly died down.
