Spanish studio MercurySteam has certainly made a name for itself over the years with a number of notable releases, so it’s no surprise that there are plenty who are curious to learn what the developer will be working on next. While more info on that is yet to be shared, we do know who will be publishing the game.

Digital Bros., the parent company of publisher 505 Games, announced in its recent quarterly earnings report that it has signed a deal with MercurySteam. The developer’s next game will be published by 505 Games. While details on the project remain scant, it’s been described as a “brand new” game that will be released for “PC and consoles.” A release date hasn’t been shared either, unsurprisingly.

MercurySteam was the developer of Castlevania: Lords of Shadow, its sequel, and the sidescrolling spinoff Castlevania: Lords of Shadow – Mirror of Fate. They also developed the 3DS remake, Metroid: Samus Returns. Their most recent release was 2017’s Spacelords, the free-to-play co-op shooter that they also published.
