3. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3

Release date: November 8th, 2011

The multibillion dollar franchise is back again this year and promised to be even more intriguing than the previous instalments.  The game will run at a 60 frames per second featuring the same: good old gameplay that the series is known for.  The game promises you to take across the world, across the Americas, England, France and Germany. The single player campaign will be intense and exciting, co-op modes will include the survival mode and the developers aim to make the already amazing multiplayer system even more awarding.  November 8th, 2011 is the day that you should probably mark your calendars.

2. Rage

Release date: October 4th, 2011

The legacy and the achievement of id Software cannot be ignored nor avoided. Those guys know their game and are extremely talented in whatever they develop. Rage will use id Software’s latest gaming engine: id Tech 5 which will look to blow away people when it releases this October.  The game will run at 60 frames per second and that too in an open world game on a console is a huge achievement itself. This game is coming from the people, who re-invented the first person shooter genre, created Doom and Quake. That’s reason enough why you should be crazy about  Rage.

1. Battlefield 3

Release date: October 25th, 2011

For people who have the slightest of interest in first person shooter games cannot deny the fact that they have at least heard about a franchise named as Battlefield. That is the kind of impact that DICE has had on the gaming community for the last few years. The E3 demo of Battlefield 3 is reason enough why it is the number one game on our list. Battlefield 3 will perhaps be the most realistic first person shooter in years and that is no surprise since DICE has already done it all before.
