The Reapers have been developed as a terrifying and strong race of destructive sentinels throughout the Mass Effect trilogy (so far), but the last boss battle in Mass Effect 2 somewhat shattered that illusion. While the concept of a humanoid Reaper was frightening and ectremely cool, the fact that if went down so easily for a final boss completely shattered the illusion that the Reapers were the most terrifying beasts around. Of course, now that belief is back, after witnessing the first few hours of Mass Effect 3, but the Human Reaper Larva is still perhaps one of the stupidest villains and boss battles in recent memory.
