Sexual Themes
Many games have taken to portray sexual themes and have not been received well by the audience around the world. Tomb Raider was the latest one that faced criticism for the potential rape sequence. MGS V: Phantom Pain has been openly declared to pace the execrable ground. With tortured prisoners and dead children, rape doesn’t lie far. It will be real tough for the game to introduce such a theme in the game without raising an outcry, but some bubbles are meant to be burst.
War has a filthy side to it, and war prisoners and innocents alike – whether men or women – become victims of sexual violence. This shouldn’t be news to anyone, for it has happened since the days of the yore and still does. With such an ambitious undertaking on part of Kojima Productions, I can scarcely think of them omitting something as extant as this, especially considering the scenario the game will be set in.
