3. Pokemon FireRed/LeafGreen

Pokemon games are never supposed to have good writing, but FireRed and LeafGreen or Red and Blue had some of the best NPCs. While some might call it poor writing and translation, I call it just pure quirkiness. A guy talking about shorts and how comfortable they are and suddenly wanting to battle you? Another guy who’s sleeping in the middle of a road? A person who thinks we’re looking at his girlfriend and challenges us to a battle, and that same girlfriend wishing if her boyfriend was “as good” as us? And who can forget the sexual innuendos in the game, intentional or not, when women in houses asked us to sleep and rest in their beds and not to be shy?
