2. Out of Sight, Out of Mind
For all the issues with L.A. Noire's core gameplay, it used some interesting narrative tricks in places where you wouldn't expect it. Having built up Cole Phelps as a super cop and all around nice guy, you soon find out that he's been cheating on his wife the whole time. The real irony of it being that you, as the player controlling Phelps, had no access to this information and could only pick up hints that this kind of thing was going on. Talk about being blind-sided.
