Cammie Dunaway Leaves Nintendo

Posted By | On 21st, Sep. 2010

Cammie Dunaway, the marketing head of Nintendo of America, and yes, that woman who almost scared us to death at E3 2009, will be leaving the firm on October 1, as she has found a job outside of the gaming industry- traitor.

“We appreciate Cammie’s contributions to Nintendo and the role she played in bringing the Wii and Nintendo DS experiences to millions of people,” said Reggiew Fils-Aime, head of Nintendo of America. “Her team and the rest of Nintendo of America remain focused on our goal of maintaining the incredible momentum Nintendo enjoys heading into the busy holiday season.”

To this, Dunaway said, “I’m thankful for my time with Nintendo and proud of our team’s accomplishments in growing the Nintendo audience. I look forward to watching the continued growth of the Nintendo brand in the years ahead.

Dunaway was formerly the CMO of Yahoo! and head of marketing at Frito-Lay. Wow, she knows her work.

She replaced Fils-Aime as Marketing Head of NOA in 2007, when the former became the firm’s President.
