Step back into the thunderous world of Monster Hunter, as Capcom's newest edition brings the ugly.

After rave reviews for it’s Japanese portable release, Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate is finally coming stateside for the Wii U and 3DS. A new trailer has debuted, which featured at the New York Comic Con 2012, showcasing some of the new monsters you get to hunt (which include Brute Wyvern Brachydios and subspecies such Lagiacrus and Jhen Mohran, among others). Some monsters are simply gigantic, even requiring things like a naval turrent to weaken them.

You also can share save data between the Wii U and 3DS versions of the games, if you have copies for both (of course, a separate app will be needed to achieve this). For all it’s new monsters, it’d certainly be fun to hunt side-by-side with other players online, and thankfully, you can do just that, no matter which console players are on.

Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate will be out in March 2013 for both Wii U and 3DS.
