Origin voucher exploit: New code to be offered by EA

$19.99 discount.

Posted By | On 16th, Oct. 2012

Earlier we reported that Origin voucher issued by EA had gone awry resulting in plenty of gamers taking advantage of it and getting lots of games for free. EA has not banned them yet or taken those games back, but has assured that the legitimate gamers who completed the survey, will get a new code soon.

The code was exploited at a lot of places but seeing EA’s response so far, the publisher may win over some hearts. Here’s their official response on the matter.

“We wanted to clear up the confusion: all users that completed the survey will receive an email soon (in the next one – two days) which will contain a new code for $20 off a purchase of any EA game on Origin priced $19.99 or above.”

The old code no longer works so no point in trying that now. Let us know what you think in the comments section below.

Thanks, Eurogamer.
