Mafia developers working on new AAA title

Studio looking for lead mission designer.

Mafia II developers 2K Czech are looking to hire a lead mission designer to work on a “the next AAA title of the studio” which they describe as a “top secret, unannounced & super interesting project”.

Some of the responsibilities of the candidate who gets the job would be to “ensure overall project cohesion and quality” and to “maintain the milestone schedule for all Missions work.”

It’s interesting to note that nowhere in the enire job ad (at Gamasutra) does the dev ever state that it will be an open world game of any sort. But with Mafia 3 already under development for next gen consoles, as is rumoured, I guess they would be unwilling to work on another open world game.

2K Czech is also currently helping Rockstar North with the development for GTA 5, which releases in Spring next year.
