The PC version of Assassin’s Creed 3 which was released worldwide last week is pretty great when it comes to technological superiority. It features TXAA and DirectX 11 Tessellation to provide a better experience than the one found in consoles.
The high image quality and better performance is available but Nvidia has gone really far to make it the best version. If you buy a GTX 600 series Nvidia card, you will get a free copy of the game so you can check out how great it is.
Don’t believe us? Check out the video they have released above. TXAA is a film-style anti aliasing technique designed to specifically reduce temporal aliasing. “In Assassin’s Creed III, tessellation is used to smooth out the footprints left in snow by the player in heavy weather situations,” reads the official Nvidia description.
“Tessellation dynamically produces more polygons in a scene to create a more realistic rendering compared to standard methods. You will experience a lot of snow during the game and this technology enhances the realism and fidelity of your experience.”
We also reviewed the game and gave it a glowing score.
