Zynga Loses Two More Key Executives

Roy Sehgal and Steve Schrech are the latest to leave the flailing social games studio.

Zynga just can’t seem to catch a break. Whether it’s losing $160 million USD in the past 9 months, or the closure of Fishville and Treasure Isle, plummeting stock shares, high profile employees resigning or inane law-suits who will give them the time of day, the social gaming giant seems like a pale shadow of itself. And it’s only getting worse.

Bloomberg reported today that Roy Seghal, vice president of Zynga’s casual and arcade games division, who also happened to be the guy behind Cafe World (yes, they do have guys who have come up with these ideas), has resigned. This is in the name of taking time off from work.

Meanwhile Steve Schreck, who is a general manager in zCasual division has also resigned. Responsible for 100 employees within the division, he also had control of Hidden Chronicles and the design of Slingo, which is Zynga’s entry into the arcade genre. And this is more of a case of being fed up of the company, as Schreck looks to join former Zynga CCO Mike Verdu at his new company.

Can it get any worse for the little developer that made a killing off Farmville?
