Funcom’s now one-time pay MMO The Secret World needed a rather desperate shot in the arm to keep gamers – and investors – interested. And while we’ll need to get our hands on Issue #5: The Vanishing of Tyler Freeborn to decide if it does just that, you can’t deny the inherent coolness of the “End of Days” event to begin on December 21st. Funcom has released a preview video to the same effect.
Along with the tons of new content, including a new story arc centered around Tyler Freeborn, a new auxiliary weapon and hotkeys for inventory items, Issue #5 will see the undead rise as part of the End of Days event. Players will need to band together to fight against three harbingers and the Lord of the Nine Underworlds to survive Armageddon.
And go all Gangnam Style for good measure.
