Amazing recreation of BioShock in Minecraft

Rapture rebuilt using Minecraft tools.

Posted By | On 11th, Jan. 2013

We’ve seen all kinds of map creating within Minecraft, but this has taken it to an all new level. Three guys have created the entire world of Rapture, featured in BioShock and BioShock 2 using Hungercraft, the enhanced mod of Minecraft, that offers for more precision with creation tools and features such as transparent water and the like.

FPSGeneral has posted this video on Youtube (also given above) of Rapture as shown in Hungercraft. The first few minutes of the game are also shown in both forms, and the juxtaposition there is excellent.

To have managed to build the entire world of Rapture in Minecraft must have required loads of time, skill, and more importantly, dedication. The people who created this say that they will run a few test games on this map first, before they release it for the world to play in on January 19th, a week from now.

Have a look at the video above, it’s excellent.
