THQ has not been having a good year (or new year). From losing millions in profits to filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy, the publisher will be auctioning off its assets in the next few days.

Publisher such as EA and Double Fine Productions have maintained interest in individual IPs, though the majority of THQ may be left to Clearwater.

However, as of now, more trouble looms large for 4A Games’ upcoming survival shooter Metro: Last Light, as the game has been pulled from US game retailer GameStop’s digital download service, GameStop Impulse.

Speaking to Gamespot, the retailer said that, “Due to THQ’s current financial situation and uncertainty of delivery, in order to protect our consumers we removed the ability to pre-purchase that specific game.”

That doesn’t mean you can’t pre-order the game for Xbox 360, PC or Playstation 3 directly through the retailer though. However, GameStop is currently offering refunds to anyone who has purchased the game for PC.
