Crysis 3 will be running on Crytek’s newest engine but in case the full power of CryEngine 3 hasn’t made you a believer, the developer has a new presentation of the engine running for its Community Day event.

Crytek’s Sean Tracy was on hand to showcase some of the more awesome thing CryEngine 3 is capable of, which players can also notice in Crysis 3. If you’ve seen presentations like this, you’d know to expect the usual vegetation and environmental effects. But damn does it look pretty.

As for Crysis 3, the game is on track to release in North America on February 18th and in Europe on February 22nd for PS3, Xbox 360 and PC. Crytek CEO Cevat Yerli promises that it will push the boundaries of graphics and “melt PCs” much like the original Crysis did.

The question that remains then: Will it be fun? We’ll find out when it releases. Till then, sit back and enjoy the tour.
