Square Enix have got it all wrong with Final Fantasy Versus XIII. Announced ages ago, as a PlayStation 3 exclusive, now is nowhere to be seen. Some gamers believe that the game is dead, despite Square Enix’s assurance that game is still under development. Now with the advent of next generation consoles on the horizon, it may seem that game may not come out all on current generation consoles.
If a neogaf user has to be believed, Final Fantasy Versus XIII might very well may be making it’s way on next gen consoles i.e. the PlayStation 4 and Xbox 720. The user Verendus believes that the game will get a name change over and will be released on next generation consoles. According to him, it simply won’t have Versus XIII in the the title and Square Enix will re-reveal it later this year.
That does not end at that. He claims that both Final Fantasy 15 and Final Fantasy 16 are in development for next generation, with a possibility of FF 15 being an exclusive.
Come to think of it, it all just adds up. Final Fantasy Versus 13 may just get re-branded to Final Fantasy 15 and will be a PS4 exclusive. In fact a few weeks back we had reported that the game may indeed be undergoing a name change. Of course this is all just speculation and should be taken with a grain of salt.
