Michael Pachter believes that the next gen consoles and the release of Battlefield 4 will affect Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 sales. He thinks the market will be crowded and CoD may not have the same impact anymore.
“I think it’s fair to say that Call of Duty at or near the top of its annual sales potential has arrived and we are likely to see strong sales at that level, with effect from the competition in the future,” Playfront reported.
“Some people may wait for the console launch, and some are attracted to Battlefield, so it is very likely that we will experience a modest decline in sales. This is not the fault of Activision, but the testament of a phenomenal success and the available power of the Call of Duty brand. ”
He believes some people will wait for the new consoles to play Call of Duty and there may be a loss of 5 to 10% of the existing user base. The game was confirmed earlier by Captain Price’s voice actor.
