Gamestop has received 600,000 registrations from people interested to know more about Sony’s recently unveiled PS4.

SCEA president Jack Tretton pointed out the demand at Gamestop and said that the “promise of PS4 is resonating with gamers”

“With only a glance at the PS4, gamers are excited and eager to know more. Within just a few weeks, more than 600,000 people have signed up, showing strong demand for this new console,” Gamestop president Tony Bartel’s statement read.

This does not mean people will buy the console, it means they are interested to know more about it. Sony’s pricing of the console will also determine how much units they sell early on in its lifecycle, but the pricing should be lower than $599.

The console is expected to be launched this holiday season. Tell us what you think in the comments section below.
