Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon, also referred to as Luigi’s Mansion 2, sees the return of the brother of one of the most legendary characters in all of gaming. Yes, Luigi has returned to explore not one but three haunted houses this time around, as his newest title readies for launch in Europe on March 28th for the Nintendo 3DS.
Unlike the first Luigi’s Mansion, which launched on the Gamecube and barely passed musters among gamers, Dark Moon has been seeing quite a strong critical reception. It currently holds an 86 rating on Metacritic.
The sequel will once again feature Luigi using the Poltergust 5000 but this time, he’s on a quest to retrieve pieces of the so-called Dark Moon. This means solving tons of puzzles and even using the new Dark Light to reveal various treasures and hidden items.
Nintendo has also added a new multiplayer mode where four players can team up to take on three different challenges in the new Thrill Tower mode, both locally and online.
