Gears of War: Judgment Receives Haven DLC Free for Limited Time

Contains the new Haven map and Execution mode for multiplayer.

Gears of War: Judgment has received its first DLC pack, which contains the Haven map and a new Execution mode for multiplayer, which functions much like the old Warzone mode seen in Gears of War 1 and 2. Epic Games and People Can Fly have also released some new screenshots for the same.

The DLC is actually free at the moment – somehow sponsored by Maxim for a limited time – and can be downloaded from either the title menu, Dashboard or from the Xbox 360 website. Downloading from the game’s matchmaking service is currently down, oddly enough.

Execution is a lot like Warzone in that players must execute downed enemies in order to score points. Enemy players won’t bleed out, and will basically crawl around unless hit with a One-Shot.

For now, double XP is active in special playlists for both Haven and Execution – those with the Judgment season pass can receive triple XP for a limited time, since the season pass brings permanent double XP with it.
