Capcom wants better single player content in its fighting games

Not sure if the genre allows for good storylines.

Tatsunoko vs. Capcom

Capcom is looking to improve the single player content in its fighting games. You may normally laugh at the storylines but it’s very difficult to create a proper story in something like that.

Dead or Alive 5 for example was hilarious because it was so random but did manage to keep me interested, so who knows, maybe Capcom can pull it off.

“The strategic marketing group here has for quite a while been pushing for our fighting franchises to have more and better single-player content, of which full fledged story modes are one component,” senior vice president of Capcom USA Christian Svensson wrote on Capcom Unity.

“How and when those requirements manifest in our future roadmap, I’m not prepared to speak about at this time.”
