Gran Turismo 5 freezes for those who got it early

Posted By | On 23rd, Nov. 2010

If you were to belief some dudes who got their copy of GT 5 early over at GTPlanet forums, it seems the game freezes on the game’s logo screen for sometime.

However, no need to panic as it seems to be the cause of the game being unable to connect to its online servers as Sony is yet to make them live.

If you wait for the few mins, the request times out and the game starts.

“It will give you an error or time-out stating it can’t communicate with an online server,” writes user wbrinkman. “Once that is given, the game starts.

“Don’t think your game has actually crashed, just wait impatiently for 5 minutes for the time-out to register.”

Sony’s releasing a patch day one which will enable online play on Gran Turismo 5 tomorrow. A measure to curb piracy of the game.

GT 5 as we all know already, releases tomorrow.

Thanks, Beefjack.
