The Bureau: XCOM Declassified Trailer Explores Unknown Signal Origin

[Redacted] is on the job.

2K Games has released a new trailer for the upcoming third person action RPG The Bureau: XCOM Declassified, which is a modern take on the classic XCOM franchise. In the trailer, we learn of an unknown signal that the Bureau discovers and which they investigate. Of course, aliens (spoilers) – but the deeper truths are still a bit fuzzy thanks to a ton of redacting.

Taking place during the height of the Cold War, The Bureau: XCOM Declassified seeks to put a more tactical shooter bent on XCOM, as compared to the original design.

The game has been in development limbo for a while, but things appear to be on track now – and not a minute too soon, as E3 2012 is nearly upon us. It’s as good as any place for more gameplay footage.

The Bureau: XCOM Declassified is currently slated to release on August 20th for Xbox 360, PC and PlayStation 3.
