Playground Games has posted for several positions at the studio, indicating that it is working on a brand new “visually stunning” racing game. The developer is best known for Forza Horizon which released last year for Xbox 360.

According to the postings, the developer is currently seeking applicants who are “fanatical about cars and car culture, with an encyclopedic knowledge of the auto industry… [and] a strong working knowledge of vehicle mechanics and car setup” who also have “excellent working knowledge of, and a real passion for, the racing genre”.

A listing for Rendering Engineer is looking for some one to be, “Working at senior level in a team of rendering engineers, you will be responsible for implementation of cutting edge rendering techniques. Engineers with in-depth knowledge of current-gen consoles are ideal for this role, as you will innovate on this technology to produce a visually stunning title.”

Another listing is “looking for an embedded Vehicle QA Technician to join us on a contract basis for a period of 9 to 12 months, starting in Q3 2013”. So whatever the game is, we may not hear about it till next year.

Maybe a sequel to Forza Horizon for next year on the Xbox One? It’s not impossible. Stay tuned for more.
