As compared to the PS4's fifteen minutes.

Increasingly, it seems that from a hardware standpoint, an Xbox One is pretty much just a PS4, but worse at everything. Take the much hyped Games DVR feature on the system, for instance. One of the few things that was met appreciatively back when the system was first debuted to the public two months ago, it turns out that the feature is a bit… limited, especially compared to the PS4, which also has a similar feature.

The limit was confirmed at Comic-Con, when discussing the feature while demoing Killer Instinct. “The idea is you’re always recording,” Xbox Creative Head Ken Lobb said. “The last five minutes of any game you’re playing are always being stored on your hard drive.”

He also talked about how you could store some stuff for later perusal, within these limits. “Say you’re playing online and you just did the best thing ever – you can’t pause as you’re playing online,” he continued. “You can say ‘Xbox, record that’ and it’ll grab the last 30 seconds of gameplay for you to play around with later.”

It’s a bit frustrating that even the identifying features of the console are being done better by the competition, but in the end, it will come down to the games, so even with a less capable machine, Microsoft may just be able to win if it manages to secure the right kinds of exclusives- something it already seems to be well en route to, judging by its E3 presser.
