Batman: Arkham Origins’ cast of villains just keeps expanding, as the anti-corporate Anarky has been added to the roster. Unlike the other villais, he won’t be hunting Batman under Black Mask’s prerogative. But he won’t make things easier for the Dark Knight.

Speaking to the PlayStation Blog, creative director Eric Holmes stated that, “Ultimately, [Anarky] is an anti-corporate, anti-government…technically an anti-villain as well. He’s a guy who kind of does bad things but believes he’s doing the right thing.

“He doesn’t like big corporations trying to control our lives or the government trying to tell us what to do. And he believes those institutions should get kicked out, and wants to take them down.”

To do this, Holmes has revealed that, “He’s planted a bunch of bombs in these institutions in Gotham, and Batman’s gotta go there and he defuses those bombs. And further on, in the Most Wanted campaign for him, Batman can hunt him down to where he’s headquartered and take him on.”

It has also been revealed that you’ll be fighting Anarky twice. And if you can, try to avoid reading up on him – Warner Bros. Montreal has some surprises in store for when you do fight him. Batman: Arkham Origins on October 25th for Xbox 360, PS3, Wii U and PC.
