Disney Infinity Power Discs Wave 1 Arriving on August 18th

The Disney Infinity age begins, as Disney Interactive has announced the first wave of Power Discs to arrive for the game on August 18th. The Discs, in Hexagonal and Circular varieties, allow for the use of various themes, power and other Disney features at the Infinity Base. There will be 20 Power Discs available in blind packs of two, retailing for $4.99.

The different Circular Power Discs include Bolt’s Super Strength for 10 percent more damage; Fix It Felix’s Repair Power for 20 percent more health with the character you’re playing with; C.H.R.O.M.E’s Armor Shield for 10 percent less damage; and Pieces of Eight for a 10 percent gain in loot.

The Hexagonal Discs include Mickey’s Car, Cinderella’s Coach, Kahn the Horse, Stitch’s Blaster, Carl Fredericksen’s Cane (from the movie “Up”), Alice in Wonderland, Finding Nemo, Tangled Lantern, Rapunzel’s Kingdom Texture Set and many more. There will even be some rare Discs which include characters like Dumbo the Flying Elephant, Abu the Elephant – Adds the elephant version of Abu in the Toy Box and the Astro Blasters Space Cruiser.

Disney Infinity is slated to release for the Wii, Xbox 360, Wii U, PlayStation 3, 3DS and PC on August 18th in North America and August 20th in Europe.
