Sony have released a new video promoting the launch of their newest entry in the Killzone series, Killzone: Mercenary. The game hit shelves yesterday in conjunction with the video.

Killzone: Mercenary is a PlayStation Vita exclusive first person shooter title, which takes place directly after the events of the original Killzone, and spans through several events from the proceeding installments of the Killzone trilogy.

This Killzone: Mercenary launch trailer highlights several elements of this latest Killzone game. Specifically the Tone Mapping and Color Grading, the game’s High Dynamic Range, the Filmic Post Processing, Volumetric Fog, the Dynamic Lighting of the game, Screen Space Reflections, and more. Overall, the look of the game is a polished as anything one could hope for at this point in all of gaming.

Released in Europe and Japan last week, so far aggregate game ranking scores for Killzone: Mercenary are in the upper echelon with a Metacritic score of 78/100. While this isn’t an exceptional score, it is a very solid one.

Killzone: Mercenary is now available only on PS Vita.
