Ubisoft has released the first multiplayer trailer for the upcoming Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, which looks at the characters, environments, attacks and other wonders you’ll be encountering with Player vs. Player combat. Check it out above.

As of now, not much is known about the multiplayer aside from the fact that it will be completely land-based like previous outings. There will be the perfunctory new game modes and settings, but we’ll have to wait till Ubisoft reveals them all. The basic combat looks smooth enough, with environments like pirate ships, docks, jungles and many more featuring in the trailer.

Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag has quite the busy release schedule: it will be arriving on PlayStation 3, Wii U, Xbox 360 on October 29th in North America and November 1st in Europe; it will launch alongside the PS4 on November 15th in North America and November 29th in Europe; it will also launch on the Xbox One on November 22nd worldiwde; and will be arriving on PC in Q4 2013.
