The pink furball has returned and his vacuum mouth is even more powerful than ever. The Kirby 3DS was revealed during Nintendo Direct, and the company even revealed a short teaser for the same which you can scope out above.
Ditching the art style of Epic Yarn, Kirby 3DS appears to employ a traditional 2.5D side-scrolling platformer approach. Of course, there’s a twist – you’ll be able to move to the background and foreground, with certain obstacles and enemies laying in wait in the background to attack. For example, a giant hand that smack Kirby against the screen near the end.
Kirby 3DS will also see the use of specialist powers like the Sword and Beetle, which should help even the odds in Kirby’s favour. Though a specific release date – and official name – weren’t given, Kirby 3DS will be releasing in 2014. What are your thoughts on the game and is it worth a look? Let us know below.
