Earlier today it was announced on the official Battlefield Twitter account that EA will now allow Battlefield 4 pre-loads in Europe for those gamers who choose to pre-order the game.
Preloading is essentially the ability to download the entire game before you’re allowed to play it. The game will exist in it’s entirety on your hard drive until such a time as the game is released. Once the game is released, all pre-loaded games will be unlocked, allowing for gamers to have as close to instant access as it gets once the game is live.
Battlefield 4 preloading as of now will be available for PC on Origin. Battlefield 4 is set to release today across PC and current generation consoles, so if you want to take advantage of the pre-loading system, you’ll have to act fast. Other wise you may be forced to submit to hours of bottle-necked download speeds.
The full list of Battlefield 4 functional platforms is PC, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation 4.
