You see that beauty up there? That is the special edition Nintendo 3DS XL; the Zelda themed 3DS sports a gorgeous gold color on one side, and a black on the other, reflecting the duality of the Light and Dark Worlds of the SNES masterpiece The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, and its upcoming 3DS exclusive sequel, The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds.

The new bundle will launch on November 22, right alongside the game itself, for a price of $219, and it will include the system as well as a digital copy of the game.

“This beautifully designed Nintendo 3DS XL system continues a tradition that has delighted our fans for decades,” said Scott Moffitt, Nintendo of America’s executive vice president of Sales & Marketing. “It’s a special bundle for a very special video game.”

A Link Between Worlds promises to be a return to tradition for the Zelda series, being the first top down 2D Zelda game since The Minish Cap on the Gameboy Advance; simultaneously, it also promises to move the series forwards, allowing players to tackle dungeons in any order that they want, as well as new abilities, such as the ability to merge with glyphs on walls.
