Oculus Rift, the revolutionary 3D virtual reality headset that has been announced for PC games will also be coming to Android devices, Eurogamer reports. The Android version was revealed at the GamesBeat 2013 conference.

There will be only one version that will be compatible across both, the PC and Android. “It would be WAY better to have one headset that can work from the PC and from the Android device,” said Oculus Rift creator Palmer Luckey. “That is the plan.”

He also went on to state that no iOS support for the device was planned, stating that they found the platform ‘problematic,’ but declining to comment any more on it. They are probably referring to Apple’s tight control of everything on the operating system.

The company is planning on launching the Android support for the headset as close to the device’s PC launch as possible. Stay tuned to GamingBolt for more coverage.
