Titanfall Won’t Have Season Pass, Split-Screen Mode – Respawn Entertainment

Let this be an example that not all data mining leads to confirmed features. This was the case when Titanfall beta testers mined the client and uncovered mentions of a split-screen mode for the game. Granted, not all features get implemented anyway but since the Burn Cards, Maps and Abilities were all legit, why not this?

Respawn Entertainment put those rumours to rest though on Twitter. “Titanfall will not have a split-screen mode.”

The developer also confirmed that there wouldn’t be a Season Pass for the game. This is pretty much in line with the total lack of micro-transactions, and it’s good that Respawn is emphasizing the finished product above heckling consumers for all their worth like some devs (*cough*DICE*cough*).

Titanfall will be releasing for Xbox One and PC on March 11th in North America and March 14th in Europe. It will be out on the Xbox 360 two weeks later. How do you feel about the lack of a split-screen mode and Season Pass? Let us know below.
