New Trailer for Ryse: Son of Rome: Mars’ Chosen Looks Sweet

As always, it looks pretty.

Crytek’s Ryse: Son of Rome may have been slammed by critics when it first released thanks to its gameplay that was as shallow as a paddling pool, but the game was a success with players, and it appears Crytek fully intends on continuing to support it with post launch DLC.

The DLC in question here is Mars’ Chosen, and it does look sweet. Well, graphically. As far as gameplay goes, you know what you are getting with the game here. It’s going to play just the same as it did, and if you liked it then, you will like it now. If you hated it then, well, no luck for you, not with this game anyway.

Ryse’s critical failure has been contrasted by its commercial success, as it has been one of the bestselling Xbox One titles since its launch. Just like fellow lackluster launch game Knack, which was a PlayStation 4 exclusive, bad reviews haven’t seemingly stopped players from getting the game in droves.

What can you do about public tastes, huh?
