Gameranx has accumulated a ton of information and reports on all things related Halo, and there’s a lot of news for us to report to you guys. The biggest news is that Halo 5, or whatever it is that the next Halo game will be called, will be receiving a ton of info soon. Xbox boss Phil Spencer has said that during the three days of E3, which is now less than a month away from kicking off, Microsoft and 343 Industries will be releasing information on Halo, including the game and the upcoming planned TV shows.

Ah, yes, there’s news regarding the TV shows as well. The upcoming Steven Spielberg Halo TV show has now entered production, after the producers and writers sat down and discussed several ideas that they had for it, and it looks like Microsoft have also finalized a deal with Showtime to bring the show to cable as well.

The second Halo TV show, which will be independent of Spielberg’s production and will be handled by Ridley Scott, will reportedly have a massive budget for itself as well, and both TV shows will collectively set back Microsoft and everyone related to the projects plenty of money. Here’s hoping it pays off.

There’s one last piece of info that everyone will be glad to hear. Halo: Combat Evolved on the PC, which was about to go offline due to the online servers of GameSpy being shut down, will now stay online. The servers have now been shifted to GameRanger, thanks to a fan petition.

So it looks like there’s plenty to look forward to if you’re a Halo fan, not to mention that the next entry might very well use the power of cloud. Stay tuned and we’ll keep you updated.
