Halo: The Master Chief Collection – 343i Splurges New Details

The greatest remaster collection ever?

Halo The Master Chief Collection

One of the biggest and most pleasant surprises of E3 2014 came from Microsoft’s press conference, where they announced the release of Halo: The Master Chief Collection for the Xbox One, which would be collecting all four of the numbered Halo games and put them in one package for Microsoft’s newest console; the package would also include a fully remastered Anniversary edition of Halo 2, remastered multiplayer and maps from Halo 2, as well as every single multiplayer map in Halo, ever. It was a hell of an announcement, and some sweet fan service, that’s for sure.

We already knew a lot about this collection, but now we know more. For instance, the collection was apparently planned and conceptualized years ago, with work beginning on it before even Halo 4 shipped. The collection will also be made available digitally, with all the same bonuses and extras that are included in the physical version of the game, and confirmed that Halo 2, which is now running at 60FPS, but was originally made in 30FPS, will be rebalanced so that gameplay does not feel out of sync.

Honestly, this sounds like the best Halo experience yet, and it should see the Xbox One through this holiday season pretty well.
