Ubisoft has announced that Blue Byte is creating the next iteration in The Settlers franchise. The Settlers: Kingdoms of Anteria will be out later this year for PC and will look to combine city building with real time strategy. The goal is to create a prosperous kingdom while fighting off all opposition.

Director of Product Development at Blue Byte Christopher Schmitz stated that, “By reinventing our approach to the franchise, The Settlers – Kingdoms of Anteria offers players a brand new experience full of new possibilities to explore. Without a doubt, this is the most innovative Settlers’ game we have ever created.”

Check out the first announcement trailer for the strategy title, which will of course be out for PC. If you’ve always been into city building titles with a strong element of conquest, The Settlers: Kingdoms Of Anteria looks to be an interesting title. What are your thoughts on it?
