That headline, in case that embedded trailer up there did not make it absolutely clear, is not a joke- there is a new indie game in development based on Little Red Riding Hood, called Wolfie: The Redhood Diaries. It will be a platformer, and it will be playable at Gamescom this year from August 13-17.
“We’re excited that Gamescom will be the first time that the public will be able to play Woolfe: The Redhood Diaries. Whilst the single level demo is still very much pre-beta it should give Gamescom attendees a taste of what awaits them when Woolfe is released next year – we can’t wait to hear what the public thinks of our dark fairy tale!” said Wim Wouters, CEO and founder of GriN, which is the studio working on the game.
Wolfie: The Redhood Diaries is coming to the Xbox One as part of the ID@Xbox program, alongside PlayStation 4 and PC in the first quarter of 2015.
