Underworld Ascension

Origin may be the current name for EA’s digital gaming platform but it was originally a studio under the publisher’s banner which produced the coveted Ultima RPG series. One title under the banner was actually developed by Looking Glass Studios, developers of the Thief franchise, and which went on to become quite famous for its mechanics.

Now thanks to the talent from Paul Neurath’s OtherSide Entertainment, we’ll be seeing a spiritual successor to Ultima Underworld with Underworld Ascension. Details for the game are still pending but it has been confirmed for PC. Neurath is known for his extensive resume – which includes Thief, System Shock 2, Descent, Neverwinter Nights: Shadows of Undrentide and much more – so the resulting game will be something to look out for.
